You think they'll curse us during Christmas?

I'm not ruling out the possibility.

Refreshing to talk to someone who knows what Christmas is, though.

I was under the impression that a fair amount of people here are from worlds similar to ours.

I don't know. Maybe they curse people to give more than usual.

In order to spread the Christmas cheer?

The winter cheer, maybe.

So as not to offend anyone or leave anyone out. Of course.

Good question, whether anyone has first had experience. And also a good idea to be prepared.

I know some of the City's residents have been here for at least a year or two, so I figured I may as well ask. Unfortunately, even if we know what's happened before, that won't necessarily prepare us for what's to come.

Think you're right. Way things have been going the last few months, no one can be prepared.

It won't stop me from trying anyway.

Don't think they'll let us off in the spirit of Christmas?

Maybe. If only to let loose something twice as bad on New Years.

Maybe we'll be out by then.

That would be the one Christmas present I would ever bother asking for, here.

Do you still think this place could be real?

Oh, there are some that come up every year. The mistletoe seems to be one--you can usually count on that. Oh, and one year we had, er, zombies, but that was only the one time. And last year the barriers around the City came down, come to think of it. But there usually aren't any curses on Christmas. Just near it.

Mistletoe? How thematically appropriate. Zombies not so much.

So what you're saying is, we're generally allowed to enjoy Christmas Day itself?

primrosella November 28 2010, 03:18:15 UTC
Yes, they do seem to like that one. And if you get caught under it with someone else, you're made to--er, to kiss them, whether you mean to or not.

But yes, the past two Christmases we've had, we've always been without a curse on the day itself.

Somehow, I'm not surprised. It's a form of humiliation, after all.

Good to know. Maybe this year will be the same. And the year when the barrier went down. What happened then?
