a couple of thoughts about the office.

Yessss, LiveJournal is back.

I'm not sure I like Promotion!Jim. Promotion!Jim is far less happy and is about TEN TIMES MORE AWKWARD. I was about to die when he "rewound" himself. It was like sitting there with Pam as she gave him that look of 'Stop now, the hole you've been digging is already like, six feet deep.'

Also, a friend of mine made the observation that "The Office" has been getting a lot more serious lately, dealing with real life issues, such as babies and promotions and such, and it makes me nostalgic for when they would race around the office with full coffee cups or when Jim moved Dwight's desk to the men's bathroom and Kevin came out and he had a candle and Dwight told him to wash his hands. But! Please note that I'm not one of those people who hates Pam and Jim now that they've gotten together. To those people, I say, WHAT THE HECK, YOU WANTED THEM TOGETHER. We all wanted them together, and they did it, and I'm happy they did, because that's what happens with a realistic couple falls in love. They get together and deal with unplanned-for babies and such. It's just that despite all the Jim/Pam angst of seasons 2-3, it seemed much more lighthearted then. Maybe because then, Jim was infallible and wonderful and you always sided with him, and now he has flaws and makes terrible mistakes (who would give just the sales crew a raise? ugh, poor move, Jim). I still heart him though.

Needs more Creed. Always needs more Creed. Also, needs more Jim/Dwight friendship, because it would make me really sad if that scene in season 4 where Jim feels for Dwight in the stairwell, and Dwight reaches out to him, was all retconned.

How adorable was Pam when she saw that "Mrs. Pam Halpert"? SO ADORABLE.

PB&J wedding next week! AHHHH!
