So yesterday I watched the big, super hyped, 'fan-pleasing', mind blowing, never see it coming finale of Bones. I agree that it was kinda disappoint but I don't think you got the concept right. I think they did lie to us, it was a dream of Booth's because he said "I had the weirdest dream." I think the end of the narration was just something Brennan was writing for herself to try to help herself through while waiting for Booth to progress but I don't think the whole thing was a story that Brennan wrote. Of course, I could be totally wrong. That's just how I interpreted it. It was a good episode, like you said, just only the ending was season finale worthy.

I would probably have gone with them lying to us if Hodgins hadn't narrated the whole faux story deal. And actually because of what Booth said about the dream. Booth probably would have recognized Brennan even if it was only as the lady in his "so real" dream. There are definitely valid arguments for both sides on that point though. I guess we won't find out for sure until next season.

At least she deleted the story. Though I was disappointed they went the amnesia route. NCIS did this a few seasons back not to mention any of the soaps! Over used.

I would like an Season to end with something happening to Brennan for once instead focused on Booth.

True, she did delete it. I'll give her credit for that, lol.

And yeah, love NCIS so I remember that whole amnesia bit with Gibbs. I know all we've gotten so far is "Who are you?" but I think NCIS will have done a better job in the end. Could just be that this episode seriously shook my faith in the Bones staff.

You raise an excellent point though. Booth is beating Brennan in the horrifying incidents category. It would be nice to see her life hanging in the balance for once (Gravedigger ep aside).

Sorry for the late reply. Preparing for a trip is kinda all consuming at times. Anyway, has the shock worn off yet? I know it hasn't for me. Not really. I'm almost to the point of thinking the tptb should issue an apology to the fans. If that's their version of a love letter then I'm scared as hell of their Dear John.
