I used to do this with my roomate all the time. It's because you can carry on a multitude of conversations at once. PLus it is easier to say things over the internet than it is in person. If i'm watching TV and she's watching hers it was easier to message her than to interrupt. I know it sounds stupid and it is stupid. Jason and I also do it alot because when we get on the computer, we're always doing other things and I don't want to take him away and make him have to turn around to speak to me.

But it's still "in person," which is my qualm... The fact that they are saying it's not.

Maybe they oughta say "face to face" instead of "in person."

As in "we talked on-line, which was easier than talking face to face."

my ex would do that with his roommate, and they were just separated by one fucking wall. idiots, much?

i wonder if this is going to bring about a new breed of completely anti-social people that will ONLY "talk" to people via the internet. hmmm.
would it be surprising, really? (i guess i have a dim outlook on the future-- who doesn't?! ha!)

Hey, I just checked out your very interesting entries. I'm liking your perspectives. Check out mine sometime, but be gentle, I'm a virgin to these 'journal' things...
