I have an upper respiratory virus going on. A summer cold is a different animal. I am hurting all over, have a slight cough, rhinitis, and just feel yucky. I got called off for the first four hours of my shift today-it's summer and we only have twenty patients on the unit. I worked last night and I had four of the joint camper's and had to change

I love grubbing for gemstones. There is a place up in the mountains we go to that is or was a working goldmine. They have big buckets of rocks you pay for and you keep what's in them. It's fun to go through the rocks and see what you have. They dredge it up from the river where they are looking for gold. We've found good sized stones.

There is a place in Indiana that does this, too. It is on my list of things to do before I die. My mother found a beautiful tourmaline in Mexico on a friend's ranch. Now, I envy her that experience! She didn't find this in a bucket!
