Pinot Evil Pinot Noir, NV, France

I'm going to do another round of "Supernatual Wine" tastings where I pair a wine with a supernatural name with an episode of the TV series Supernatural.

I'd think a wine tasting of cherries would be suited for lamb or pork (as you mentioned), rather than beef... but that's one of the pleasures of wine, trying out new combinations.

Heh. As my husband can tell you, it really doesn't go with (vegan) split pea soup.

Five bucks says if I try to find that wine in a store here in France, it would cost about 2 euros.

There's a ton of cheap cheap wine in France. Fortunately, most is fairly good - better than two buck chuck. The rest? Gets exported.

This was about as good as a 2 Buck Chuck. :/ I actually like cheap Merlot as my go-to casual table wine.
