Waaaaaah, hectic week was hectic O_o

Jesus. It's been a long time since I made a personal update.

Last week was really hard. I was on my period and I think it drained me of energy more than it usually does. I skipped Tuesday!Salsa for the first time in months because the cramps were so bad, and I was so tired and still had to complete my homework project for 6B... In the end it was worth it, because the project came out really well and I probably wouldn't have enjoyed salsa much if I was in pain.

I coouldn't even find it in me to post about Glee 2x19, even though it was a pretty damn good episode. I wasn't disappointed after 2x18, and that's pretty impressive. I'm not familiar with most of the Fleetwood Mac songs used in the episode, but I liked them all. Liked the character developments, too. Some Sam backstory, yay! ...aaaaaand, I'm over him. Lol. And Santana, OMG Santana made me cry again. Naya is just... *shivers* I would so totally go gay for her. I was sorry to see no Dave, but I was happy for an Artie solo! Poor Brittany, though.

I CAN'T HARDLY FUCKING WAIT FOR EPISODE 20. PLEASE NO SPOILERS, I KNOW ENOUGH ALREADY AND I'VE BEEN KICKING MYSELF FOR MONTHS NOW.

Our homework assignment for 6B last week was to create a sculpture based off the word 'weekend'. We had to show our thought process and make a 50x70 presentation as well as bring the three-dimentional sculpture, and this time my pieces were much better than the previous week's assignment.

I haven't done photos yet, but the project was about my weekend depression. I called it 'Dissonance' because there's always so much I want to do during the weekend, from hanging out with friends or family to going out, but usually I just while the time away slumped in bed, sleeping or possibly watching TV.

The sculpture was of a figure lying in fetal-position in a bed, completely covered by a blanket, while around the bed printed-out images taped to wooden skewers acted both as opportunities and as a fence that kept me in. My presentation was also much better structured and spaced than my previous one, and I felt much more confident about it. The other people in our class seemed to like it and were intrigued by it, and our instructor said in response to my explanation about my weekend depression, "Okay, first of all, that's just sad. And second... that's great. I mean, the sculpture is great." And he went on to critique it with the rest of the class, and I really felt good about my project. The fact that I'm able to laugh about my depression is good - I mean, come on, it's not even really depression. It's just a little slump. Nothing serious. But it's still introspective and impressive and brave, I think, to do an art project about it. So I'm proud of myself :)

For this week's class we paired up and created some critters from a pile of junk, and I tried not to take over the entire thing but my partner kind of let me and encouraged me to do a lot of things and to do most of my ideas; she was more of a follower. I'm having a really hard time not getting too excited and trying to keep from seeming so enthusiastic about everything, but it's hard XD At least she had a good time with me, and everyone seems to like me :)

Our next homework assignment is a collage on the subject of 'City' - I'm going to have fun with this one :) I love Tel-Aviv as 'The Big City' and I love working with paper ♥

After 6B I went to return the two dresses I bought last month because they fucking shrank in the wash. I didn't get to wear even them once! :( It took me a long time to get back to the shop to return them because of Passover vacation. Finally last week I was able to do it, and thankfully the teller at the shop didn't give me much trouble over it. He didn't refund me, but he did let me pick whatever I wanted to get instead of the dresses. I didn't have much time, so I just got a tank top and a bunch of bangles, and I still have 120NIS to use at the shop within the next two months :) So hopefully I'll get some other dresses there, or maybe a pair of shorts or a skirt or something.

After that little bit of shopping, my mom took half the day off and we met up with my dad for a special lunch before his business trip to Japan this Tuesday. We went to a tapas bar in the Tel-Aviv and it was really great! :D I had an eggplant dish and a shrimp dish which was fucking HOT! It was really really spicy - I'd asked the waitress if it was spicy and she'd said "It's a bit hot" - well wasn't that a fucking understatement XD I had to whipe the little darlings on a napkin before I ate them, and they were still pretty spicy XD But the shrimp themselves were really really good quality, and the eggplant dish was just spectacular. And the cheesecake I shared with my dad after it took the edge of the spicyness off :)

In the evening I had Thursday!Salsa, which went well. We're a pretty advanced class, and all the guys are doing pretty well. There's a girl from my high-school who's suggested that we carpool, and she drove last week, so I'm gonna be driving next week. Oh crap. I've got a work party on Thursday this week. Maybe she'll agree to skip the carpool and come apart, and I'll drive the next week. Lol.

I worked on Friday morning, then on Saturday we had brunch at my brother-in-law's parents, who I really like. Watching Alon run around with his cousin (my brother-in-law's sister's daughter) was so cute, and the fooooooooood, gosh, so much food. I ate so much and then ate nothing else all day XD

In the afternoon I rearranged my closets. It's time for summer clothes, baby! So much stuff has gone to the laundry, and a bunch of clothes I packed off in a bag to give to charity as well. I can't wait until it's warm enough to wear dresses! ♥

At night I went to see Beastly with my best friend H. Overall, nice movie, the acting was okay, but really only Neil Patrick Harris was actually worth watching :D Still, a fun, fantasy-romantic adaptation of the classic, and now I'm going to watch Disney's Beauty and the Beast and gush about how much more awesome it is :P

Cheers, peeps! *salutes*
