Glee 2x22: My Thoughts - OR - bye bye Glee, see you after the summer :(

So overall, I'm pretty pleased with the final episode. It could have bigger and better, but I don't have any specific ideas how, so I'll just stay pleased with what they did :)

New York, New York! )

glee, omg

i liked the little musical moments in the episode, particularly the opening with just a bit of the clarinet playing "Rhapsody in Blue" and then "Bella Notte," which was charming. the breakfast at tiffany's moment was too.

the rachel/finn chemistry is kind of tired, it seems to me. you're right about how good it'd be to see the other characters develop more, especially dave. they left him out in space after he bailed as prom king, which is unsatisfying. maybe they're planning big things for S3. as you say, here's hoping!

Oh yes, Raphsody in Blue was nice. I forgot to mention it :D

We know for a fact that Max is part of the cast in S3, so I'm 100% sure that Dave's character will be developed further :) But I still think he's one of the storylines they left unfinished, after putting so much effort into it... it's kind of stupid. I bet they'll dive right back in with him in S3. Maybe show us a kind of "what they did over the summer" for all the characters :)

Yeah, baby, Wicked was awesome. I saw it on my London trip last year, almost to the date. I believe it was on the 2nd of June. Best trip abroad EVER. I was floored the entire evening.

I agree about Finchel running its course - it's the tried old crowd-pleasing ship, and even though I was one of the people who wanted it to happen, I'm already kind of over it XD

As for Lea's singing, yeah, she's a screamer. It's why I feel she's better suited for solo numbers, because whenever she sings with someone else she tends to kind of swallow them with her huge mouth overshadow them with her powerful voice ( ... )

Disclaimer though, I did LOVE that hesitation and loves to think of it as because of Dave! Haha. Hey, just human. I have my biases :P There's this video in tumblr going around that's edited so well. When Kurt pauses, a flashback of Dave's "Wait for me here, alright?" plays in his head. We all flailed like crazy XD ( ... )

OMFGLKSJDGLKSJLKSEJKLSDJ GET ME A LINK TO THAT VIDEO. NOW!!!

Ahem. Please? ^_^

And go ahead and psyche out over Samcedes! I'm liking it so far, I just hope they don't open S3 with a one-line mention of how it didn't work out or somthing >

I feel like I need to quickly re-watch the episode in order to make up my mind re: how I feel about it, and properly comment on your review; but, in the meantime:

I like that Kurt sort of narrated the story, but I didn't buy his ILY. Blaine was obviously smitten and I think he meant it, but Kurt... I think he hesitated a second too long, and his own ILY was kind of ... it sounded like he felt obligated to say it.

THIS.

I got the same exact feeling and, TBH, I don't think it's because I'm Team Kurtofsky.

I think you're right. And at first, I thought it might be because I am Team Kurtofsky, but then I realized that the only people buying it were the Klainers! So yeah...I think that's the way it is.

Oh well, at least it wasn't Kurt who said it first only for Noah v2.0 Blaine to reply: "Same here."! XP

*gigglesnort*

I think Kurt's learned to play his emotions a litle closer to the (very fashionable) vest with Blaine. After how long and hurtful a road it was to get together with him, Kurt is no longer wearing his heart on his sleeve and being so very obvious with his emotions. It was smart of him to wait for Blaine to say it first, but I guess he wasn't ready for it to be right then at that moment so he was shocked and his ILY too came out kind of ... blah.
