Ah - yes, I wasn't aware that this thing was on. How troublesome.

It happens. Such that you can't trust that you are ever alone, if you are a private individual. It is part of the modus operandi, isn't it?

Chaos, panic and disorder-- their work must be entertaining.

Are there hot dogs on a stick?

There can be.

And beautiful young people with their glowing skin bared to the heat.

Being naked around fire isn't that great an idea. I know someone who had an accident with 'romantic lighting' once.

Did the accident add character?

Just when I think I have you figured out you say something which changes my perception. Perveted, slightly antagonistic, but knowlegeable, wise and a good conversationalist.

I think I'll have to recognize you as being indefinable from now on, it's the only way I'll retain any amount of sanity.

It is easy enough to define what I am. Containing me, much less so.

I am a puck.

A...puck? As in A Midsummer's Night Dream, puck?

Well...that doesn't sound too strange, considering we're all in a city located within a dimensional nexus.

Puck. Pan. Hobgoblin. Will o'the Wisp. You may take your pick of names; something which best suits your definition. That is what we are.

I'm curious. Is your intention to rouse panic or to comfort? At the moment, the former seems more likely, owing to the same principle as "Don't look down."

The boy who cried wolf made a terrible decision. He picked a menace which can be seen with the naked eye.

The boy who cried wolf wasn't in whatever mood you feel fit to share with the network this evening.

I just felt that they needed the reminder, less they become careless. Hic sunt leones.
