However, does it make me a boring ( Read more... )

as an "i dont really own high heels anymore because my boyfriend isn't very tall person" i can say that...high heels are not a lot of fun, find cute flats. or wear band aids in the right places and just know you're going to have to deal with pain. i'm sorry. im not good at this type of thing. lol =)

You're working at Lamont? Very cool. I usually study in my room or use the Dunster Library, but I make the treck up to Lamont every now and then.

If they give you a choice between Lamont and Widener, you should take Widener. Widener is amazing. Also, the rare book library is very cool.

As far as high heels go...As a person who wears sandals all the time, that happens to me when I wear shoes that aren't sneakers.

Yeah, I'm gonna be working there starting July until the end of December. I don't really have a choice, Lamont is the only place they hire NU co-op's but I get full borrowing privliges so I'll be sure to check out Widener sometime!

and yeah, this happens to me everytime I wear "nice" shoes.

That's cool. Make sure to check out Widener. They have an original Gutenberg bible on display. You can find some amazing books there. The other rare book libraries are so full that they end up putting some pretty old books in Widener, so you can check things out that predate the country if you poke around a little.

If you get a chance, you should also check out Houghton, the rare book library. It's right next to Lamont. I've been a few times for classes, and they have some insane stuff, like an original Folio of Shakespeare.

So, are you going to be living in the city for the summer?

I'm gonna assume this is mike...

yeah i'm living on campus for what we call summer II (july and august) and then im moving into an apartment in brigham circle (about two stops down the E line from NU) once the fall semester starts. I'm excited about working in Cambridge, i think its a really nice area. I'll be sure to check out those other libraries too, so thanks for the advice!

Hmm... I wear high heels sometimes, and when I first started, it hurt really really badly. It also hurts really badly if you wear them for a long time and walk around in them. But you get used to it, and they start to hurt a lot lot less. So yes, I'd say it has to do with using muscles you haven't before.

Yeah I think I'm just gonna have to wear them a lot if I ever want to get used to them...

oh and p.s. - I saw the Nana movie!!! I liked it, but I was watching it with Adam, so I was worrying about wether or not he liked it, so I think I'm gonna have to watch again to fully appriciate it. I'm gonna show it to Kim when I go home this weekend, though!
