so from my understanding, some kids flipped a van. police clad in riot gear all moved in with dogs, tear gas, and pellet guns. and i'm sitting here missing the action, finishing a paper. meanwhile the fireworks have ceased, and there's a bonfire in the middle of the green.

i should have gone out onto the roof.
