What is Freoð?

Freoð, or frith, is one of the most difficult concepts for the modern heathen to fully grasp, in part because there is no word in modern English that completely translates the concept as it was known to our heathen ancestors. Great essay! I think too many modern Heathens may understand Frið as simply = Peace. Makes me think of the old "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" Coca-Cola commercials of the 70's. Definitely not that, and much more complex. You've really nailed it, at least as I understand it. Thanks for sharing!
