Hellraiser, as watched in 2012

The trouble with 80s movies is that no matter how much of a classic they might have at the time, when I watch them now all I can think is "So much synth!" or "Mullets mullets mullets!" which is really quite distracting. Every time we watch Bones, there's always the observation that it must be every props man's dream to work there.

"Hi! Things & Stuff Props here."

"Hi! Hart Hanson here. Do you do skeletons?"

"Sure thing, Mr. Hanson. Human, I take it?"

"Yeah. Only we want some flesh still to be on it, sort of dripping off when it moves, and can you make it so that we can make the eye fall out of the skull on cue?"

"..."

"If it's not too much trouble?"

"Hell yeah!"

"Ahh, the props department are enjoying themselves," is a comment one of us makes in almost every episode. What other show requires corpses sandwiched in a bale of recycled paper, or embedded in a giant bar of chocolate?
