My letter would have looked like this:

Dear Fucking Fucks Who Insist On Fucking Things Up For Me,

Fuck you and your fucking drug habit, you fucking fucks. Now I have to move ever further from the city, because even THIS place isn't safe. Fucking fantastic.

Fuck you and have a shitty day,

I appriciate the thought, but when I said they didn't take my favorite cds, I meant it. I don't even remember which CDs were in the arm rest, that's how seldom I listened to them. The only two I'm going to miss are my Tom Petty CDs, (the best of and Echo), but I have them both ripped to my computer, so it's really not too bad.

And I think your letter has more sheer chuztpah than mine :)

If my car had been broken into I would not be nearly as even-keeled and mature about it as you. I would probably be freaking out and taking it out on everyone around me. So kudos on the optimism, its very refreshing compared to most self loathing dribble that seems to constitute lj post these days (mine included)

The thing is, I was all ready to be mad. I stormed into our house, slammed the door and then stopped.

I wasn't mad. I just thought for a minute that I should be.
