Been following video game-related blogs pretty closely over the past few days as the Electronic Entertainment Expo is going on in Los Angeles. Dude, those games look great! I wonder how the Wii Mario Kart will use the controller... maybe as a steering wheel? I'm sure Metroid will be awesome too! =)

I have to say it's intriguing. The PS3 and 360 are aiming for power, online connectedness, integration with media--and as such, their price tags are higher. (Sony's is off the scale). Whereas the Wii is focusing on games--just games, and fun gameplay.

They're almost disparate markets.

For a while now I've been thinking that too much time is spent on the graphical gloss, and too little on innovation--maybe in this generation there'll be a pleasant shift in the other direction.
