It's been a painfuly long three years since Nickel Creek's last album. Mutual Admiration Society was wonderful, but really just a tease. Sean Watkins is amazing ... I'll admit, I'm not terribly fond of the bluegrassy sound of NC or his solo stuff as much as I do my own style music, but he's a wonderful musician.

Amen. I am impressed anyone who isn't a fan of NC is familiar with his solo work. He seems to fall secondary to Chris Thile... which is understandable I suppose, but still. There is always a soft spot in my heart for the under-rated talents.

If you havn't already, you should definitely check out this new album. I'll gladly copy it for you if you like. So much of it is barely bluegrassy at all. You can actually hear a lot of other influences, like Radiohead.
