[It's lunchtime! And that means Akihiko is being a good intern and gathering up everyone's food for them from the cafeteria to take back to the office, including his own. Gotta work through lunch hour today if you want to end the day on time

[Give Souji a minute to just staaaaare because you look delicious Akihiko.

Like. Literally. It's like fireworks in his mind--melon-colored, mild and crisp, but smooth.

And then he realizes you probably need some help.]

Where are you trying to go?

Uh, tenth floor. Research and development break room.

[He would reach out to feel for a person, but his hands are full. This guy doesn't sound familiar at all.]

Do you want help? I can carry some of those.

I don't want to keep you from something important. I'm just the gopher.

I was just trying to fix the fax machine. Which is kind of pointless, since I don't think we can actually send faxes from here.

[Souji reaches to take the top few containers from him.]

[With a few less lunches, Akihiko finds it easier to keep his balance and control the other items in his possession. Maybe tomorrow he'll be able to handle more of them. Step by step, just like in boxing.]

So you're a repairman. [This is one strange event. At least this kid would always have something to 'pretend' to do for the time being.] I just run around getting food and coffee for people. [And his clothes show it, speckled with all sorts of stains.]

Yeah, I guess I'm something like that.

My name is Seta Souji.

Nice to meet you, Seta. I'm Sanada Akihiko.

You too, Sanada. Tenth floor, right? [He uses an elbow to nudge Akihiko toward the stairs.]

Right. [He follows the direction of where that touch came from, briefly seeing Souji's outline before it disappears again.]

Are you in high school too?

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji nods, then remembers Akihiko probably can't see it.] Yes. I'm a second year.

Here are the stairs.

[He anticipates the stairs at the mention, feeling for the railing after wrapping the bag handles around his wrist and stepping forward carefully.

It was nice to have more people around his age there in Wonderland.] Third year. Gekkoukan High, don't know if you know it. [His name sounded Japanese, so there was always a chance they were from similar worlds.]

[He wonders if he should have been expecting that.] I visited once, on a school trip.

You're Arisato's senpai?

Yeah. You know Arisato?

Here's the landing. [Souji uses the warning to stall for a minute, then decides to risk an admission.] I'm like him. Arisato.

Thanks. [He climbs the final step and gets his bearings back, not quite sure what Souji means.]

You're like him? [Maybe he enjoyed similar hobbies? He was so used to keeping his persona a secret, that it wasn't something that readily came to mind when speaking with people outside of SEES.]
