Unfortunately, I don't have much choice. :/ I spent part of this afternoon googling spider repellents and things... doesn't seem like there's much I can do unless I want to put down sticky traps. Apparently, there are kinds of spiders that ONLY live in houses (most of the ones we see indoors), so these probably aren't coming in from outside. They're lonely males looking for a mate (as it's breeding season), though most of the females are probably in the crawl space, since they hide more. And I'm sure they're doing fabulously well on a diet of silverfish. I do wish they would leave me alone.

I've moved my bed several inches away from the wall to make spider contact less likely. The rest of the time I'm just going to have to tell myself to be calm and pretend furiously that there aren't any spiders there whatsoever! I must admit I've been shaking out my clothes before putting them on, and doing a once-over of my walls every time I enter the room. Maybe this will wind up getting me over my fear?

Long comment is long, sorry!

If it helps you get over your fear then let me know and I'll give it a try, too. Although, I'm pretty sure it would make mine worse. o_0

Hah, I meant the constant risk of spiders. Maybe it will make me less afraid through being used to it. I hope.
