[He's on the grounds of the Temple for this broadcast, and like everywhere in the city at the moment there are apple trees suddenly doting the landscape. And apples everywhere.

Also Castiel's horrible trenchcoat has made a reappearance; despite that the weather isn't that bad, it warrants the coat. To him at least.]

[Sonny ignores the post for the time being, finding it uninteresting, but as it happens he's passing through "their" park, tossing a mottled apple in the air and taking periodic bites, when he spots something intriguing- Castiel, high up an apple tree, picking apples nonchalantly. The amulet is in his pocket, so it's easy to sneak up without being noticed supernaturally.

Just another step, and another, this is the funnest game. Now pocket the apple and move carefully. Sonny walks up quietly, breaking no twigs or leaves under his shoes, lays a hand on the new tree, and shakes the apple tree hard enough to knock the angel out of it.]

[Castiel had tried a few kinds of apple by now, and he's already decided on a kind he likes best. And so, upon locating a tree full of them, he'd climbed into it in order to collect them, relying on his sixth sense to alert him if anyone was approaching.

Turns out it was a mistake, of course, but he only realizes that after he's hit the ground ungracefully, wondering for a moment what had just happened. And then he notices there's someone here, someone he doesn't know, and he shoot up to his feet and backs off a few steps, watching him warily.]

[At that Sonny just smiles, stalking in a circle around the angel and moving too quickly, so he's suddenly the fuck over there. It lets him close in on Cas and herd him closer to the tree, slowly and subtly.]

Two little dicky birds sitting on a wall...

[He steps back carefully whenever Sonny approaches, unintentionally doing exactly what he wanted him to, more focused on trying to figure out who or what this is. He can't sense anything about him, which would normally mean he's just a regular human, but he's not sure.

Still, he has his sword if he has to use it.]

Who are you?

They can probably be.. baked.. or something.

Apparently so. It seems strange to do with them though.

[And he's wondering what other fruits can be baked now.]

Some people press them into a drink. Disgusting.

Do you dislike apples?

[Because even the angel who normally doesn't have to eat and so finds the process annoying and unappealing at best doesn't think that idea sounds gross.]

[Not on his list of things to look for in a post apocalyptic wasteland. He needs more important things, like whiskey.]

[the video shows Thomas lounging somewhere, possibly in one of the apple trees, and he's casually tossing one of the apples up and down with a smirk]

They make for great ammunition.

[Thomas turns the PCD's camera towards a tree about ten, twenty feet away, and focuses it on a bright green apple. The image jumps a little as he throws, but the visual is clear enough that the apple he'd just been bouncing in the palm of his hand has now knocked the other one from the tree and into smithereens.]

Works better shooting them out with an apple gun, but it's not like those are falling out of the sky.

[He watches, and the display just serves to remind him that he's carrying a sword and it might be useful for knocking apples from trees with. Hm.

And then he's distracted by the very thought an apple gun.]

...There's a gun that shoots apples?

They can be pressed for cider. And if I can get my hands on a decent amount of yeast, fermented into alcohol.

[Oh, Castiel's interested now.]

If you find enough to have surplus, I would be interested in trading something for the extra.

[Because Castiel's foraging has to be curbed a bit due to his death price.]

[He nods slightly in understanding. He's willing to wait; he's probably not leaving before then so he has no choice anyway, even if he weren't.]
