[Castiel flips on the feed, once again in the safehouse he had broadcasted from with Jo. He looks worse for the wear this time, pale and splattered with blood, but there's also something much more subtly different about him

I can confirm this. I was reborn over the course of several hours with a lance through my throat and subsequently died. Through my calculations, I believe it was once every fifteen minutes or so.
[When she felt the burst of energy, the Grace, she was horrified. Because Gabriel -- and in a perfect world, Lucifer just died, but she knows better than to ever count her luck against her past few days, but --
-- then she calms down. And focuses -- really focuses -- on the energy. And the more she focuses on the energy, the more she begins to realize what happened, and the message she receives only proves it.
But instead of responding via PCD, she decides to respond the old fashioned way.]
Long time no talk.
[She actually sounds, ever so slightly, almost happy.]
[In a flutter of feathers, Castiel appears next to her, shielding himself from the flames simply because it's less strenuous than healing himself. He's exhausted, but a tiny bit pleased as well.]
The peculiarities in resurrections were of benefit to me.
[She almost jumps, but instead turns slightly to look him up and down, almost appraisingly -- before the senshi tugs him into a tight hug.
-- well, almost. It's not quite as tight as it normally would be, because she's weak, and exhausted, and hasn't slept since this all started, but it's definitely tight enough to be felt. Which is really what matters.]
Much better.
[In a breath, as she lets go slightly to force a tiny smile.]
[The hug hurts, damage only partially healed from the injuries that had killed him an hour or so previously, but he doesn't mind. The comfort of it outweighs the minor pain.]
My grace is where it should be.
[Though it too hurts, and he doesn't know why. If he pays close attention, it might feel like the place where it had been torn out is what hurts and not his grace itself, but that doesn't make sense.]
Yeah, panic and people keep dying before they're healed. Definite benefit.
-=Really, he's trying but there's no heart in his sarcasm. He's been using alchemy nonstop in keeping the safe houses safe and pulling people to safety.=-
[He says it because he can, and though it's not entirely accurate, it is mostly. The shotgun won't kill him, but at the moment it might kill his vessel. He's only healed it enough to be functional.
He kneels carefully next to her and reaches to place his hands against her wound, focusing. He hasn't healed another being in over six months, but he's still able to array his grace as necessary to begin regenerating her cells, realigning torn tissue and resolving the injury from the inside out.
He can only manage until he's healed it enough for her to get back in the action, though, hands dropping to the ground to support himself as he catches his breath. His strength is so low, and his grace hasn't stopped hurting since he'd absorbed it, and he doesn't know why.]
What attacked you?
[He asks the question directed at the ground, but no less curious.]
[He had sensed something but he didn't realize that it was because of this man.]
I can try to bring something to you, should you need it. I felt a strong demonic aura and I'm moving in that direction now. Should you need assistance, please feel free to contact me.

There are both benefits and cons to this situation.

[The things you mentioned were the cons, Ed. 8|]
I am an angel again. I can heal well enough to assist now, as can others.

Yeah -- I figured that out the hard way.
[But she forces half a lazy grin.]
Nice lightshow I caught, by the way.
[You look all angelfied, feathers.]

Just 'cause you can appear again doesn't mean you do it without warning someone, we're in a warzone, Cas --
[But she pauses before she sighs and moves her arm away, to show a pretty nasty wound to her stomach, which is bleeding pretty profusely.]
I shot the bitch in the face. You've gotta appreciate the artistry.
[She doesn't find the coincidence all that funny.]

I'm fine.
If you have anything that can be used to transport water that is spare, it would be appreciated. I can come to you.

I'm glad to hear it.
I see. I do not right now, but I will see if I can find it.
