Spontaneous Collection Of Not-A-Kink

I thought I'd collect a bit of what I see on the Ace Attorney kink meme that, at least in my eyes, is clearly not a kink. I'm not especially looking for it, but there's so much of it...

I want EPIC FACE-PALMING!!!

Can anyone tell me how a funny fic with face palming has any place in a KINK meme? Please, enlighten me.

The Hetalia kinkmeme at least made a rule that you must put pairing and characters in the subject line. And a word limit for longer prompts. What breaks that rule gets deleted.

Thank goodness for that, it's something at least. The Ace Attorney kink meme definitely needs a rule like that.

There really should be a general ficmeme. I don't want to search for an actual kink on a f*cking kinkmeme! D:

I already resigned to the fact that this meme is made of lulz, drama, fluff and silly stuff that just makes NO sense. Oh, and maybe some sex, which sometimes *happens* to be kinky.
Not that the occasional fluff fic I indulge in isn't cute, and I admit that the funny fics can be funny from time to time... but I'm really missing some nice, kinky PWPs.

I know Igiary. It's not very active, and not everything is adult. And I've already gone through the archive on aff.net (though I might do that again now that I know a few more characters), and even there "adult" has a very broad definition, it seams. -_-;;

It's like you said: One shouldn't have to *search* for kink on an effin kink meme.

Seems like there is no real good porn supply in this fandom, although it is quite large. Strange.
Although there are lots and lots of PWPs on the kinkmeme, just not really much with pairings I like.
And what's worse, I'm so goddamn picky when it comes to characterizations...

I haven't even seen much that would qualify as a real kink meme request by my standards, pairing preferences notwithstanding.
But yes, I agree, there's not enough porn in this fandom.
I feel that Harry Potter is an easier fandom in that respect, even without spending too much time searching I always end up with a nice fic or two. ^^x

So, kink memes have evolved into having a broader spectrum? What's so bad about that? It's not like it no longer generates porn or prompts with specific kinks and pairings. But when a large part of fanfiction in fandoms is generated by a kink meme with prompts from all sides of the spectrum, I don't think it's something to complain about. And, as always, the rule applies: don't like, scroll past, let others have their fun.

There being a lot of fanfics for a fandom is nice, yes, but a kink meme is a place for kinky stuff. It's just not the place for fluff or general fic requests. I go there because I want kinky porn, simple as that.

Like I said, people should just create a general fic request meme if that's what they want.
I'm personally not interested in non-adult fics, much less when I'm expecting something kinky.

And with this kink meme I do more scrolling than anything else. In terms of a kink meme, everything that's not a kink, even by a brod definition of the idea, is basically spam that mods should delete.

And above commenter mentioned that the Hetalia kink meme has a rule that dictates one has to at least ask for a clear pairnig and fic requests have a length limit, which I guess is a start.

Well, the majority of people seem to be perfectly fine with kink memes involving kinks that aren't generically kinky. On that note, who is anyone to say what is a kink for someone else? I know for a fact that there are people who are turned on by fluff or hurt/comfort.

Also, what is right for one kink meme and its users, does not have to be on another. And I think we really can't complain with bludhavens, who lets literally ANYTHING through, even if some people are (in my opinion rightly) offended by it.

Lastly, I'd say, why should the others go and create a gen (non-kink) meme? Create a kinks only meme of your own if it bothers you so much.

That is an issue, of course. While I believe that "fluff" isn't a "kink" in the sense of the word, one might argue that it is a turn on, and hence qualifies.
And I guess if it were mainly prompts like:
"character-a/character-b, fluff, insert rough description of a situation here",
that'd be okay. But a lot of posts on the kink meme are lengthy requests for a certain fic, often not even containing a pairing. And I can't tell you how tired I am of "this thing happened to me and now I want to see it happen to some character"-prompts.
That, I think, is not a kink in any sense of the word.
In any case, I believe a "kink" is something that in some way deviate from the norm. Why else would it be tradition to post anonymously?
