Hiya, in case you've ever read any of my fics you might have stumbled across the Rating-part of the header, and depending on the story you might have been a tid bit confused. This is very close to the categories I put fanfics into in my mind. :D
And the warnings are the important part, anyway. Ratings are kind of undefined and subjective, no matter how you do it.

Well, the problem are not the kids anyway, but people who are easily offended by things done to fictional characters.

Or those weirdos that get "triggered" or something. But yeah, that's what warnings are for.

I just noticed that when the only "adult" thing in a fic is sex - nice, loving sex - I hesitate to rate it NC-17. I even put "vanilla sex" as a warning. XD;;;

This is the most epic thing about your rating and warnings.
It kind of fits my urge to put "fluff" as a warning on everything that's about a healthy relationship.

I actually would think twice before reading (and usually don't read) vanilla sex, so if more people did that, it'd safe so much time!

Exactly! I WANT all the "bad" things people put in their warnings, I take these things as a promise, not a warning. Fluff, now, THAT needs a warning! Ò__Óx

I hate it when people do this:
"Rated "M", just to be on the safe side."
Well IS it mature content or ISN'T it, and if it isn't, don't use that rating, GODAMMIT!
