Nuzlocke Diary (3)

DAY 7:
I had to get Oreburgh City's gym leader out of a coal mine. No, really, that's what I had to do to battle him for the badge. He was just hanging out down there, doing nothing, and when I went up to him he kin dof smiled sheepishly, shrugged and hurried back to his godamn gym. Geez.
While in the mine I caught a Geodude that I named Rock Smash, for the move. I figured he'd be really good at it (and he is!). (You can't get anywhere in the world without smashing a few rocks.)
In related news, I'm kind of afraid that Snap Bean might be into dudes. Geodudes, that is. He really enjoys sucking on them (and absorb their energy). Believe me, it sounds dirtier than it is.
Outside the mine I encountered a Machollo girl (Lu) who seems to be a bit of a troll, she's always like chollololol.
Anyway, some guy told me that there's no way of going north without a bike, and the only shop in the region is in Eterna City (though it seems a bit daft, not having a bike shop in a city that has an exit only available to cyclists).

DAY 8:
I had quite a detour ahead of me (I need to get myself a bike, stat). On my way to Floaroma Town (which I had to pass through to get to Eterna City) I was stopped by Lucius, his nameless lordship and two Mysterious Men™ who threatened the professor to rape do something to Lucius unless he handed over some papers. I was slow to turn back and pretend I hadn't seen them and was dragged into a tag team fight with Lucius against the Mysterious Men™. I guess the Mafia is a family thing: you don't get to say no.
We beat them easily despite their cool uniforms and Starry evolved into a Staravia!
After everyone had left it was time for presents yet again as some stalker guy from TV (who'd been watching me) handed me a fashion case. Supposedly it contained "gorgeous and tasteful" items but, you know, your mileage may vary.
I caught a Budew named Rosie on the way, but with Snap Bean already on my team I probably won't be training it right away.
In Floaroma Town I was given a Sprayduck and a few berries (I'm starting to get used to the random presents, I think).
There were more Mysterious Men™ hanging around as well, but most of them were pretty rude. I ignored them for the time being and caught a Buizel girl, whom I called Julie and decided to train her instead of Lu for now.

Near Floaroma Town's Valley Windworks was a wee girl looking for her dad. Apparently the Mysterious Men™ had taken control of the power station and wouldn't let anyone in or out.
I figured since battling them before was kind of fun (I like the uniforms, why doesn't the mafia have uniforms?) I might just check them out again (the professor who must not be named seemed to be okay with me fighting them, so no trouble on that front), but I had to do some training first (it's so much cooler to crush an opponent completely). When Moongrin evolved into a Luxio I called myself ready to do just that (his hair is so fluffy now!).
Oh my god the gay Mysterious Man™ by the door to the Windworks had the cutest Glameow! Cute, but weak.
I didn't get why his colleagues were trying to steal honey of all things, but after beating them I got the key to the Windworks (I try not to question the why or how of these events, it makes my head hurt; I just roll along with whatever happens).
The Mysterious Men™ also seem to employ Mysterious Women™. Boring. Her uniform didn't look nearly as cool as the guys'. She had rather strong pokémon though. I mean, I beat her, and Snap Bean finally evolved into Grotle, too, but it was a close one. I don't want to lose my pokémon, so I'll have to train even harder from now on.
