its hard to believe so strongly in something, and then have someone elses beliefs forced on you. but thats how it works, and you have to live with it. the half of the population who voted for bush arent wrong, they just dont view the world the way you do. im sorry this is making you so upset. but please dont leave :o) our country needs people like you

Case in point...actually.... i voted for Bush because my views in MANY but NOT ALL instances were more aligned with his.... I voted AGAINST the ban on same sex marriages...and will continue to do so...I will however always vote against NEW taxes.
When all said and done...I would much rather spend time w D than with Bush. .......and by the way....I am more of a Native American Spiritualist than a Christian. So it wasnt that aspect of it that took me there.

The ironic part of this is - in My Opinion - most artists (not all) tend to sway toward the left - if they all left for Europe - what kind of a boring place would this be.......
im really in awe at how much you sound like me, very political, its quite lovely.
im disgusted at the thought of calling it something SEPARATE but have it be EQUAL to marriage. It sounds sort of... unconstitutional. Which it is, hence why its not a simple solution. although maybe this is how minorities get rights in this country, more like the land of the "exploited" than the "free" tho.
however i do agree that a knee jerk reaction to this is irrational. it is. you cant just up and leave because you hate the president. think about that and what it means. also the south isnt how america is. im not bashing the south, but its just not a representation of america. At all.
i get the sense like you're comparing Baton Rouge (as if it represents America) to Europe. Like theres only two choices all over again heh...

I am so going to miss your rants and observations :o(
But I must agree in the thought that this country is on its way to some very dark times.
