Whether or not Obama was your candidate, this is an amazing feat in history and we are apart of it.

I was overwhelmed with pride and happiness last night and still today in America for the progress we have accomplished and the possibilities to come. Change is coming, not because of our new president but because of us.

Ehh, I am not so sure about that.
52/46 isn't exactly a resounding mandate.
Change, so long as it is for the good, is laudable. After all, if we are headed the wrong way, it is not he who seeks to go even farther but he who wants to turn around who is truly progressive. However, I am not so sure we proved ourselves dynamos of social and political reform, we simply picked one politician over another by about as slim a margin as we usually do.
