A fist clenches the heart
letting nothing in and nothing out
who knows what person
can make it loosen its grip?
I hope that someone can
because it hurts so
the constant pressure
of emotions unable to be expressed

But sometimes it seems
that there is nobody there
who can be there when
the hand does move away
and let the heart
breathe once again
it cannot stay forever
for without emotion, what is life?

I'm not a poet in any sense of the word. But I've been needing to say something like that. What an odd outlet to do so, yet maybe what an appropriate one.
You've been a great friend to me, and I hope you know how much that means. Thanks.

I think about who I was two years ago, and how much I've changed, and I'm stunned. I never would have expected such a dirastic change in anyone. And yet my changes pale in comparison to yours. I like who you've become, alot. Keep on plugging, because from here life only gets better.
