OOC - Backstory!

Mar 02, 2006 16:55

If you'd like to have a backstory with Winnie, leave a comment here. Her character info is here for reference.

She's a third year Gryffindor and she plays Quidditch, so I'm sure she'd have a history of some sort with other Gryffs, third years and Quidditch players and/or spectators. She could probably use an older boy to crush on too. :-)

She would know Ari, a 6th year Gryff. Ari would have probably randomly approached her when Winnie was in her first year, introduced herself, and then babbled on pointlessly for a bit; she's the antithesis of quiet, really. That meaning said, I'm not sure how well they would get along. They sound rather different so they would a) annoy each other or b) get along quite well.

She would probably get along with my second pup, Gabe, but he's a 7th year Puff so chances are, they wouldn't know each other.

Winnie was probably happy that someone so much older introduced themselves to her during her first year, but after that wore off, I think she wouldn't really be impressed with Ari. I doubt she'd go out of her way to be mean or anything - not in her nature - but Winnie and Ari would probably annoy each other.

Yeah, the chances of a 3rd year Gryff being friends with a 7th year Puff would be slim, but it would make news. Lol.

d00d, you're on my friends list! I'm not sure why I find that so horribly exciting. Hurm... Anywho, I kind of forgot to respond to this. I fail at replying to comments. And, apparently, staying on topic.

Poor Winnie, then. Ari doesn't really seem to understand that she's as obnoxious as hell some people are annoyed by her. She usually just acts like she's friends with everyone, despite how the other person might feel about her. So she'll probably be all "wheee! Winnie!" and generally hyperness and crazyness and completely overlook the fact that Winnie doesn't like her.

Lol, yeah, I noticed that too earlier. It made me giddy as well. XD

Hahahaha. I can see that from Ari, definitely. And Winnie, being the generally nice-unless-you-give-her-a-reason-not-to-be person that she is, would just let Ari go on thinking that she likes her, but not encouraging it. Responding to her comments with as few words as possible, probably avoiding too much eye contact, not being the one to initiate conversations with her, that sort of thing. This is good. Winnie needs someone to be kind of "ehhhh get away" about. :-D

She'd probably know Avery. She's quite prominent in the Gryffindor common room, if only because she spends her time around stacks of books too often. Oh and she has been harbouring a secret crush on Soren for since 3rd year, and became friends with Andra and Fi (also Gryffindors!) who form the Secret Society of the Soren XD

Avery doesn't play Quidditch, but she appreciates the game very much. She just doesn't fancy the idea of being knocked off her broom 50 feet above ground. Oh and I forgot to mention, she flies very often, but it's only for fun.

Any ideas for backstory? :D

Oooh, interesting, Winnie has a little secret crush on Soren too. But it's one of those older-boy-not-gonna-happen-but-oh-he's-so-dreammmyyyy sort of things, you know? And she doesn't talk about it or admit it or anything, ever. ;-) Right, so, anyway.

Well, Winnie likes reading...maybe they met while they were studying? Ooorrrr since Avery likes Quidditch, she and Winnie probably talked each others' ears off about it. This is especially probable of happening during Winnie's first year, because as Winnie was new to the wizarding world and she was just introduced to what she thinks is the greatest sport of all time, she was most likely talking about it to anyone.

...And if they got close enough, maybe Avery even coaxed Winnie into admitting her own crush on Soren?

And then Fi would come along and coax her into joining SSS! :D Avery would probably talk to her about it, answer some questions (is Winnie the enthusiastic type? Cos Avery's something not very sociable, until you really get to know her).

Well, Avery doesn't think Soren would like her cos they're so different, but I don't know what Soren make of that! I really hope Avery and Winnie don't end up fighting over him! Though Avery'll probably give up if he doesn't show any feelings. Lol.

Um.. I've way too many bs taking place in the library and common room, so I think someplace else would be nice. Maybe Winnie got lost during first year, and Avery helped her?

Winnie's not usually openly enthusiastic about anything unless she's just really excited about it. She's not really very talkative either until you get to know her. So they have that in common.

Oh, Winnie knows there is no chance of her and Soren happening. Lol. At least, she wouldn't bother fighting over him. :-)

Winnie would definitely get lost. Maybe Peeves was around too. That'll be great.

Erik is a 5th year Gryffindor, is muggleborn, doesn't play but loves to watch Quidditch, is also a bit stubborn, etc. BACKSTORY! I'd love it.

ps: he can be your older boy crush if you'd like to do something different than the "everyone loves Soren" thing. lol

Aww, well, she already has an older boy crush on Soren, but you're younger...you could be more a realistic option! :-D

Seriously though, I can't see why she wouldn't like you. Besides, you seem to honestly be more Winnie's type and she'd probably recognize that. And Winnie loves the changing staircases! She's completely fascinated by the idea. Maybe that's where they first met?

Sorry to interrupt, but I'm glad Erik has found someone. I hope she agrees XD Just joking! :P

honestly! he's so adorable! someone needs to crush on him! though, I don't know if he'd crush on a 3rd year. We'll have to see where it goes, eh?

That sounds great to me! A meeting on the staircases. In her first or second year, up to you.

Hmm...how about second? The staircases can be where she goes when she's upset or needs to be alone (the library always has too many people in it), and she goes there wanting to be by herself and finds Erik. :-)

I am afraid Ophelia would have classes with Winnie. As well as QUIDDITCH. She is a 3rd year Slytherin, and... aggressive.

Awesome. Winnie needs some enemies and Ophelia looks like she'd be a good one. :-)

They'd have met during their 1st year. How, exactly, do you think?

opheliaballard March 4 2006, 00:48:15 UTC
Let's say a Quidditch game! Ophelia could have almost beaten her off her broom or something. She is a terrible cheat. And would be more angry if Winnie didn't succumb to her attack. ;)

winnie_mcadams March 5 2006, 00:39:47 UTC
Oh, Winnie would definitely not succumb to Ophelia's attack. She probably fought right back, in righteous anger of course. ;-)

So did Ophelia make the Quidditch team her first year? I wasn't sure if they could do that.
