has anyone ever gotten an offer from an auction on ebay through email? how do i know if it is legit?

I wouldn't trust that, no. I've received emails from eBay sellers inviting me to bid on an item they think I'll like (based on past bids), but they always have me work with eBay directly. I'd forward that to "spoof@ebay.com" and see what they say. That's eBay's official fraud department.

Unless it was DIRECTLY from the seller and you knew the seller was from Romania.. absolutely not - DO NOT trust it.

That whole email looks like bs.

That's happened to me before and I ignored it. It's Ebay's policy that you can be kicked off if you send/accept an offer through email

I once got a "last chance" email from a seller because whomever won that auction ended up not paying, so I think cause I had the next highest bid they offered me to "buy it now"
