Really great look at post-"Intervention" Spike and Buffy by an outsider.
Willie watched the Slayer start to turn in the direction of the exit, and then turn back around again, frowning slightly. Pulling a few bills out of her jacket pocket, she set them down gently on the bar beside the empty shot glass. Spike looked up in surprise and she smiled softly. “Put some food in your stomach along with the Jack, Spike. You’ll heal faster.”
I am loving Willie's View of Spike and Buffy from the outside. I loved the first story in this series and this one did not disappoint. The interaction between Spike and Buffy was brilliantly done too.
The dynamic did change so much around that point, didn't it? The very reason I chose that spot in the timeframe. Although probably in the minority, I love the latter episodes of that season so much.
I loved this story showing Spike after Glory's torture. I actually like Willie here - even though I know he's a weasel. And Buffy buying Spike some dinner was such a nice thought.

I was originally going to tell the timeframe of the story, but I thought it might read better if people didn't know beforehand.
I love the Willie icon!

Although it's taking longer than I thought, I am having a lot of fun writing these stories from Willie's POV-I'm glad you've enjoyed them, too.
