Hello Flist!

Long time no blog. It's been-gulp-five weeks since I put keyboard to computer. Somehow that just doesn't have the ring of
"pen to paper" though, does it? Sadly another loss in the computer age.

Since we last spoke I've pounded the pavement almost daily- well, actually it was more of a click, click, click (high heels)- looking for a job. So no well- ( Read more... )

Hi - hugs you - you had been missed.

Sad to say that reading your news made me think of my own situation. Still self-employed .... but still looking for a new job.

Yes, they keep mumbling about improving economy here ... the only thing going up are grocery prices!!!!

Hey Deb. Aren't the grocery prices insane lately? I'm starting to feel like that stereotypical old person that when confronted with the price of something, always says "But I remember when that was only a nickel!." :-)

Thanks for the hugs-they're most appreciated.

Good to hear from you - I've been thinking of you and wondering how you are.

Glad to hear that you have found employment (and that your fellow employees are keeping you entertained) even though it's not what you would ideally have chosen. Needs must as "they" say.

Yeah, the entertainment value of the job alone is almost worth being up in the middle of the night- there are some seriously unusual people out there late at night. I'm thinking it could be fodder for a story...

That's an adorable icon.

I'm glad you're doing okay, in spite of the lousy economy. It's starting to hit hard here, too.

Hi J.

I've been lurking on a few LJ's-I've kept up with yours. Sounds like you guys are really starting to settle in.

The real problem with Florida's economy right now is twofold. 1- the banking situation(they were burned so badly in the real estate debacle that they won't free up any dollars so people can purchase homes, which has left us with the lowest real estate recovery statistics in the country and 2- our utter reliance on tourists and snowbirds, neither of which have the funds to come here and play right now. I don't see a resolution to either problem at the moment.

Hey Petzi

It's definitely a weird something alright. LOL Trust me to find the oddest job in the county. I think it has the potential to become at the least a funny story, it sounds like something right off nighttime television.

I am pleased you sorted out the employment situation.

You missed my trip to Aussieland and the inevitable picspams LOL

Keep your chin up and hope to see you around more :)

Hey Jamie! How are you and Gina doing?

Aww, I missed the Aussieland trip? Noooo. Now see, if you weren't so freakin' paranoid I could flip back and look at them.

Seriously, I bet you guys had buckets of fun. You need to email me your absolute bestest story from the trip (and at least one pic).

Thanks Sweetie for the hugs. My chin is up, although my butt is falling asleep. Their stoopid chairs are
hard.
