I just watched a show on the BBC about people who fall in love with objects. They showed this woman who loved the Eiffel Tower and another who loved the twin towers. I don't know what to think > >
Based on what they are saying, that it is exactly what all those people have in common. They had been rejected, abused, abandoned, etc. It is quite disturbing because you feel like laughing at what they say, but then you have to realize that they really have some severe mental issues.
That's the knid of think where I would've shook my head and muttered, "Only in America." Am I correct in assuming people were also from other countries?
The producers from the show were from the UK, they interviewed 3 people, one from Sweden and the other 2 were American. Here is the blurb explaining the show.
"Married to the Eiffel Tower - Married to the Eiffel Tower"
What is it like to be intimate with an inanimate object? Women who suffer from Objectum Sexual disorder, like Naisho, who is married to the Eiffel Tower, share just what it means to be in love with a highly public structure.
