So it turns out that having a job where you CAN'T just read and write fic at work and which also leaves you kinda physically exhausted, combined with wading through grad school applications and GREs and shit, really cuts into your fic writing time. >_<
This has been another Statement of the Obvious.

So this entry references the fact that I recently switched from a job as a glorified receptionist, where I was able to read fic on an eReader and write stuff longhand, to a job that makes me much happier but requires me to actually DO things during the time they're paying me. I'm still adjusting.
tl:dr: I'd suggest a receptionist gig, provided you find one with an obliging boss.

Work has been really busy lately, and I find that this cuts into many aspects of my life that I used to delegate to "downtime at work", most of them fandom-related. It's dumb. =__=
