Terry Pratchett just announced that he's suffering from early onset Alzheimer's. While this is really sad news, i'm glad that he's still being upbeat about the whole thing, and in typical Pratchett fashion wrote: "...this should be interpreted as 'I am not dead'. I will, of course, be dead at some future point, as will everybody else..."

I was glad to read that he was upbeat about it as well (though sad that he has it, of course). He still feels he has a few books left in him...maybe by the time they're done, there will be some kind of cure or way to slow this horrible disease down.

a cure would definitely be good.
hopefully, he'll be able to write A LOT more books. :D
