Oh, Cee, you flatter me so! Though, I am sorry for the state of your heart. :/ I'm glad the emotion got through! I was afraid it wouldn't or that I overdid it (which I do feel I might have had). But I figured that emotions would be running wild in this scenario. There was no way Izuru could have gotten out of that easily, don't ya think so? I wish they had shown it in the anime or manga! T_T

And and and thank you for the suggestions! The next part (whether I'll ever get around to writing it or not) is already whirling around in my head and does involve a few of those suggestions of yours! Oh, gah, you make me want to double my effort on this! 8D

I don't think you overdid it. This is JUST AFTER the betrayal after all, things would be crazy at this point.

I must say I've considered writing a fic or two about the aftermath and what Izuru must have had to put up with. I doubt it took him a week to get to Matsumoto-san because he didn't have the guts.
(Oh! I applaud you for possibly hinting HisaMatsu despite the way you feel about it, I did like that scene though, in a friendship way. I also like how you showed her concern for her Captain)

Now that you pointed it out I was thinking about that one week before he went to see Rangiku. Seriously, what was the boy doing? Yes, you should totally write that NAO! ♥

And ahehehehe when I really think about it HisaMatsu is an okay pairing...but you now how inseparable Shuu and Izuru are for me and I do like Rangiku with Nanao *cough* so the two of them will always have nothing more than a brother-sisterly love going on in my book. Unless I'm feeling adventurous. Very, very adventurous. ....hmmmm....

Anyway, I really am having fun formulating this one and am really hoping I'll get around to continuing it. Not a lot of my fics actually have anything to do with the Bleach plot. I figured it was high time I paid my respects to Kubo and his awesome plot and characters. XD

dkskdskd;sdl. AWESOME. If this is continued I'll be latched on to find out more. The flow and pace of this really worked for the mood you had going, which made it both an easy and enjoyable read. What I liked the most though was that the desperation wasn't over-dramatic and the whole little upset wasn't over done to where it would be unrealistic if it happened in real life. Fan-fiction seems to like to get caught up in the woe-is-me catergory of dramatic scenes that would be highly unlikely to actually happen. You're good at what you do, man.

You sort of set it up to make it look like it was continuing, but what do they say? The best writing takes on a life of it's own and the writer must bear that responsibility. SO TAKE IT LIKE A MAN. >:O

But yes, am formulating the plot (what plot?) as we speak...er...type...and am just waiting for my pesky midterms to stop kicking my ass and let me be so I can start trying to write it. ^^

Oh this is absolutely lovely. There were so many good parts, but mostly I loved that you drove into the REAL problem: that being, Kira was complicit in Gin's actions. The excuse of following orders only takes you so far before you have to justify your own actions.

I love the remorse you give him here, its very heart wrenching and brutal. And Shuuhei's actions are so confused yet, still loyal.

I think it is fine if you leave it at this because of course we know something convinces Yamamoto, and form here we can imagine all manner of things Shuuhei did to keep his friends ass out of jail and his head off the chopping block. Ikkaku too for that matter. I love the loyalty between all these men. :D

Your story gave me a Matsumoto plot bunny, too. For which I'm really happy, because I've wanted to write her for ages, but just never had a worthy idea. Now I just have to see if I can raise the bunny, so he'll hatch. XD

I'm glad you think so! Yes, the details of the Kira-helping-Gin fiasco really should have been shown. Sometimes I wonder if Matsumoto and Hitsugaya even told anyone he helped because really...he got out of it alive? Pfffft.

And yeah, I just had to incorporate some camaraderie between these guys because they don't show a lot of it in either the manga or anime, at least not on a serious level.

Lastly, a Matsumoto plot bunny! YEY! I hope I get around to read that! I always like reading fics that involve her. ^^
