And what did the Winter bring home on a gloomy saturday? A shiny new HP computer.. prebuilt and installed, aswell with a 22" BenQ monitor. Originally I wanted to build my own, but there was a sale this weekend with 25 percent off, so me and my mother decided to grab one while they were still there

HP isn't bad as far as prebuilt desktops go so I won't knock on you for buying prebuilt :p Looks good ^^

Normally I'm all >E at people who buy pre-built stuff.. but if you get it for a good deal, then I suppose I can hold back on the biting a bit. plus, you get the warranty on it, which makes it a lot better when things do run in to trouble, which stuff always does after enough time.

Overall the specs look pretty good.. I can't believe you made it this far on a 15" monitor.. I'd die xD 19" drives me crazy even, at least you got a 22" eh? >>

I dunno much about the 7xxx of the C2Ds but I suspect it's probably plenty good, got near the same clock as my old E6750 and I assume it's got the 1333FSB, so it's probably gonna kick some ass.

Yeah that 8500 won't get you too far, but depending on what you use it for, it should do plenty good until you can get yourself a real video card!

Have fun with Vista x3 it's a pretty good OS now that the patches are out, I don't mind it at all on my laptops.
