(no subject)
Well, what a day it was. And what a year this will be!
So far, I believe 2009 is going to be the best year of my life. Why? I'll give you a few reasons:
- I have passed my test for high school (for adults), and graduated. It's been a tight one, but two years of labour finally paid off! Now I can go to any University in the Netherlands -- and practically the world -- and follow a course! It was against all odds that I'd pass, seeing how much trouble I had with it. But thankfully, I got a positive response.
- I (might) have reached my propedeuse. This is a "high score card" for college, which means I've passed every single test and gained all available points. Although I still have to wait for the result of one exam, it might be possible that, if I pass it, I got another achievement to add to my list.
- I am going on a four week holiday to America. This has been a long dream of mine, to visit the States some time in my life. While it wasn't easy to get things organised -- you know, the "internet stranger" that my family didn't like unless he came here first -- I have a green light now. Flight tickets have been booked, hotels have been booked, I got my passport ready and it's all waiting for the departure date! I'm SO very excited! This could possibly be the best summer ever... I will be staying at San Francisco CA, Orlando FL, Philadephia, and Montréal in Canada.
- I am going to meet online friends for the first time again. This is in response to my holiday trip to the US. I feel extremely excited on visiting my good friends, especially Hypno and Byzil. For some reason, I always felt a connection with the two, and am very glad to finally meet them. Other friends I am excited to meet are Pyxaron, and Acidic. It doesn't mean I feel less excited about the others I'll be seeing, but the above people are some of the best I know, and could only wish that they didn't live that far away!
- I will be going to Megaplex. It's a convention, like anthrocon, just much smaller and -- as people told me -- more modest. I didn't expect myself to really hope to go to such convention, as I spoke about with some people out there. But still, it would be very interesting and will see many fellow artists. Who knows I get recognised aswell!
- I will be going to Sea World. God yes... Orcas... I am going to seem them at my time in Florida! This is pretty much the greatest wish I ever had, and now it's coming true...
- I have high hopes for getting into a relationship with someone after my visit. This is something that might sound strange. Basically, I've never felt that lucky with the females, for various deeper personal reasons. But as time has passed, I have come to realise how *easy* it actually is, that I shouldn't have such low self-esteem when it comes to such things. Almost every person I speak to is surprised to hear that I never really had a full relationship before, seeing me more like the kind of guy that would. So, maybe people are right! I've come into contact with other girls and it's fun, you know.
- I am going to live on my own. Yes, it's a dream again. I am seeking to find a place for me to rent as a student and finally start living on my own! I really feel how badly I wish to be independant, and at an age of 22, it really is time to start living in the real world again.
There are a few other things that make me feel like 2009 being the best year ever, but aren't as grande as the above. My hopes are high, and disappointment is something I'll try to evade! In all honesty, I've never felt this great in my life, since I was a small child...
On July the 10th I will leave to the USA. Anybody who lives near the mentioned places can give me a call for a visit!
