yaoobruni hasn't seen it either; sanj is visiting this weekend and we're going to go see it together. Join us! I'm guessing it'll be Saturday evening... :-)

D and I haven't seen it yet. Of course, we've also not seen Firefly yet, except for the pilot, and I've heard contradictory reports on whether one ought to have seen the series first...

But it's safe to say we're interested, haven't been yet, and live reasonably close to you (sometimes)...

I have it on my own account (call it a good account at your own risk) that not having seen any Firefly is not a hindrance of any sort to the immense enjoyment of this film.

Obviously some background helps, but I don't think it can hurt too much to see the film first....yes, the end of the story arc that he was setting up in the series will be spoiled, but the arc barely gest started in the series, so that's not what it's really about. I think the original episodes will still be highly entertaining even if you know where he's headed.

Of course, you have plenty of time to get the series out of the way this week if you're serious about it :P
