 I have been working with a family to get them to come to terms with the fact that their boy is most likely on the Autistic Spectrum since I started working in Oct.  Last month they finally agreed to allow me to refer their child to the diagnosis team.  I started an intervention with the child and family and have spent 2+ hours teaching them how to ( Read more... )

I am back from the dead, how frustrating for you hon. Unfortunately it will come with the territory and this will happen throughout your career.

It is like any profession that gives advice, people will choose to listen or not. I know it is not on the same scale as you but with my dog training you tell people to do stuff as you know it will help them but they do not do it.

There is only so much you can do. At least you are doing your job and I bet are fantastic at it.

Oh boy. I've been there in other ways this week. Work can really take it out of you, I understand.
