YAY! I asked my parents about being an adoptive family for one of the communars we'll be getting next year, and they gave a general yes, they just want to know more specific details. :D I'll call Talia tomorrow to tell her, and ask for more information to give them. So everyone cross your fingers that I get an official yes, and that we're chosen.

What's this adoption thingy that I know nothing about? Whatever it is, seems like it's a good thing, so I'll be crossing m'fingers and wishing you special bad luck. :) And, I'll cross the fingers for no periodation [also a word, yeah huh] during specified times. ;)

[boring explantion] Every year starting last year and the following five, we're going to get 5-6 people, aged 18ish that are doing a year of service in the Scouts before joining the army. They're pretty much supposed to help build the Scouts strongly here, help the youth, etc. Since they pretty much live here, aside of going home every other weekend, they get adoptive families. I don't know much about it, but what I know for now is that they eat Friday night dinners with those families, the families sometimes bring them food to the house they leave in, etc. [/boring explantion]
