“You sick fucks probably all enjoy this, don’t you? This is what you get.” And as he wound his fist back, preparing to strike, someone else’s body pounded into his, throwing him to the concrete below. The man cursed, stumbling to get up, but the effort was futile as a fist met his face, bones popping and cracking with the force. Johnny could barely register what was going on; he felt too lightheaded to focus. But suddenly the hands that had him braced against the wall were gone, grunts and sputters barely audible as Johnny slid down to the ground

The icepack touched Johnny’s bare torso, causing the man to hiss. Evan hesitated for a moment, and then pulled it back to wrap the pack inside of a washcloth

He was able to sit up after a few more hours, the ice pack warm in his lap and an empty bowl resting on the ground in front of the couch. Evan sat on the floor beside it, watching the end of whatever TV show had been on; Johnny couldn’t say that he had really been paying attention, since he was too distracted by Evan himself, who didn’t seem to notice at all. It was always like this, Johnny noted; Olympics or not, Evan didn’t realize these things ever. And suddenly, he spoke, shaking Johnny out of his thoughts

Eeeeeeeeeeee, thank you so much!!! This was great - I loved how Johnny wasn't fazed by the guy at all at first, and how genuinely worried Evan was. (And when he cried totally wasn't crying at the end ♥)

I really loved this line, too: This was the human side of Johnny, the one who wasn’t invincible from death threats or street punks.
Because as strong and awesome as Johnny is, that kind of stuff has to get you down sometimes, and that sentence was a lovely way of expressing it.

Basically, anon? I loved this. Thank you for writing it! :D
