Johnny loves transcontinental flights - well, as long as he's safely in first class, away from the screaming crying bundles of infectious disease. He's never had too many problems sleeping while flying, and on flights that are long enough, there are times when they're crossing the Pacific or the Atlantic or the date line and he feels... free. Unmoored from everything, but in a good way, like he could be flying to anywhere. Like he isn't even flying to anywhere, like he hasn't left anything behind ( ... )

A few minutes later he's done signing things and mugging for photos, and he and Tara start making their way to the baggage claim.

"Are you hungry?"

"I'm good, I had a little food on the plane. Tired, though. And I could use something to drink."

She hands him an unopened bottle of water and grins. "Did you bring me anything from Russia?"

He pretends to giggle. "Ooops, I forgot. Blame Stephane, he dragged us all to the ballet."

Tara rolls her eyes and swats him on the arm. "You jerk. I brought you a surprise."

Johnny perks up a little at that: GaGa tickets? Balenciaga swag? Lemon Pledge "Oo, what, what? Teelll meee!"

She smirks. "If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise. Besides, you didn't get me anything."

By this time they're almost at the baggage claim. Johnny hitches his carry-on over one shoulder and sticks his tongue out. "God, Tara, you're so easy to fool. Of course I brought you presents. It's number six, by the way. Now what did you get me ( ... )

He's too shocked to do anything but blink when Evan sets him down, and then Evan is holding his face in both enormous hands and kissing him. Kissing him really well, actually, intense but not overwhelming, and it's a few seconds before Johnny realizes Evan's tongue is in his mouth and he's kissing back just as hard, like he hasn't been kissed in years and his lips have just taken over for his brain. He goes red and jerks away.

"What the shit is this? Are you crazy?" He's not really sure if he's asking Tara or Evan, and he doesn't really care. Is this some kind of hidden camera thing? Jesus, Tara is the worst agent ever, what the hell is going on ( ... )

In order to keep from losing it completely and having a Joan Crawford level meltdown right there in front of the parking validation machine, Johnny stays mostly silent on their long walk from the terminal to Tara's car. It's pitch black outside but for the glaring artificial lights illuminating the parking lot, but he's wearing his largest pair of wraparound sunglasses (D&G, of course) and resolutely ignoring Evan's repeated badgering about whether Johnny has to use the bathroom, and his weird spastic faces and head jerks and eye flicks while he asks it, and his strange sad air of disappointment when Johnny finally snaps at him. "Jesus Christ, Evan, I'm not a ten year old, if I have to piss I'll let you know! Stop asking ( ... )
