"I don't know where he is." Apolo was always just a little surprised when people believed his lies. It really was true that people saw what they wanted to see. The same was true of their relationship, though they were starting to catch on just a little, which was why he was asked in the first place. He'd have to work on lying better.

The interviewer frowned at him, but moved on, finding someone else to ask. Apolo took that opportunity to slip into the bathroom, "What's taking so long, they're looking for you."

There was a small whine from the stall but no words. He would have recognised that whine anywhere.

"JR, are you listening to me?"

He could hear the rustle of clothes and then another whine. Still no words.

"Don't make me break down the door."

He heard an overly dramatic sigh. And then, "These pants are too tight."

Apolo paused and then burst out laughing. "Too much at the all you can eat buffet?"

The next sigh was edged with annoyance, "Don't be an ass."

"Speaking of…."

He could feel the glare through the metal stall ( ... )

Apolo slipped into the stall as soon as JR stepped out of it and closed the door not a moment too soon as the bathroom door opened, "There you are! They've been looking for you everywhere. They want to-- Are you okay? You look flushed ( ... )
