Apolo Ohno/J.R. Celski

Amnesia!fic where J.R. gets hit on the head hard and gets amnesia and then thinks Apolo is his boyfriend because eventhough he did lose his memory, the feelings are still there. There's kissing and then J.R. freaking the fuck out when he gets his memory back and remembers he kissed Apolo because he never intended to tell Apolo about his feelings. Or whatever you want to write.

Oh my God, he thinks, fuck him. Fuck him for knowing all this time and not fucking saying anything, and of course Yuki hadn’t reacted as explosively as Apolo thought he might, because he was experienced (old) and observant (nosy) and omnipotent (goddamn infuriating).

This was the best line ever.

Anon, you are amazing. You totally captured Apolo and his inner dialogue perfectly whether it be his general butthead-ishness to his rather philosophical analysis on /everything/. Good job! You did so well.

The press, Apolo has come to realize after years of flirting with it, is both a wonderful and a terrible thing.

Every four years, he becomes their darling, reporters requesting interviews and the flash of cameras his new personal teeth whitener. Since he was JR’s age, it’s been nigh impossible to escape the media glare that follows him wherever he goes, even when he’s trying his best to avoid it. He wasn’t trying to toot his own horn, but even the wiseasses in South Korea admit that all of his exposure has been instrumental in the general public’s acknowledgement of short track as a sport, and it’s not even how the media affects his own life that draws his attention to it on a daily basis. The way newspaper articles paint, for instance, Evan and Johnny’s relationship amuses him to no end, even if he’s fairly certain that their alleged rivalry is 90% hype, 5% Johnny’s flamboyance, and 5% Evan’s own imbecilic tendencies.
