The closest I was to asleep was about an hour ago, when I was pulled back into full consciousness by Pippin's paw tapping my nose.

Bad kitty. Going to try and sleep now. Ugh.

No, I was too dazed to do much other than brush him away. It wasn't like a tap with claw, more like a gentle "wake up" tap. Weird. Then he stuck his nose in my face and purred.
