Really, from conception to this moment in life is rather miraculous. Given the amount of sperm and egg combos the female body 'rejects' and never implants... the fact that we come to being is nothing short of a miracle.
And while I'm not an religious person... I do find wonder in the everyday.
Terrorism, the act to inflict fear into the masses. Our media does it everyday... we don't need a physical bomber to do it too. Funny, if this is a jihad against western nations... why doesn't Canada have this problem... or New Zealand or even Australia. They are capitalistic, majority white, christian/not specific. Is it that they're not involved in wars in the Mideast (at least not as extensively as we are)... me thinks so. As long as we have military action in the Mideast, we will have those who try to blow up places in the US... eye for an eye and all that stuff.
Other western nations have jihadi bombings.. without looking, off the top of my head, I think Britain and Italy had some a few years back.
But, I think you are on to something, possibly another reason why the whole idea of jihadi suicide-bombing is flawed. To vent frustration at all of the West and simultaneously at only one government (i.e. We don't like the US policies towards the Middle East, so we will declare a jihad against all of the West) is inconsistent.
What are they fighting... US geopolitics or the West? They can't choose both, because the two aren't connected (in the way they'd like, any ways). In many instances, the US acts independently of most western nations, no matter if we historically inherited our role in the Middle East from the British and other governments.
I know the answer to the above question, it was just rhetorical :)
