I've been seeing this everywhere for the last cople of days, and...well...I am a sheep...baaaa! ;-) I have no idea how accurate this is, though I have been laughing over "freak". That part is probably all too true.
My mother and I had discussed Thanksgiving a few weeks ago, and it was my impression that we wouldn't be doing the big holiday fuss

Aww, thanks! :-)
~O.M.G. Maybe we should just back both our mothers off and let them eat turkey together somewhere else! lol~
Lol, yes! Perhaps in Alaska, or somewhere else suitably far away...you know, just for one day. ;-D
Thank you muchly for the suggestions - I did see them before I left for the store...I don't know why none of them occurred to me; I guess I was just so startled by the sudden cange of plans that my mind got stuck on "OMG gotta cook a turkey!" I decided to go with the second one and got a turkey breast, which should be plenty for the two of us, and will be much easier to cook. And, sure enough, they were all out of whole turkeys, which is good, because now my mother can't complain that I didn't buy what they didn't have...Though of course she will any way. :-P Logic is sometimes not her srongest skill.
Hope you have a lovely holiday, with plenty of good times with loved ones. :-)

Oh, goodness... I hope that the holiday will involve a minimum of stress and toil for you, most beloved... It is like you said: you cannot produce turkeys out of the air. I hope with all my heart that everything will go well and that your day will be as peaceful as possible... I shall keep you against my heart.
*very tender robed embrace*

Hopefully things will stay fairly calm...I keep reminding myself that it's just one day, and then things will get back to...well, not normal, but what passes for it around here. Thanks very much for your kindness, and for the robed embrace - your presence always strengthens me.
I do hope you are resting and taking very good care of yourself, dear heart...It concerned me a little to read that you're feeling so exhausted. May angels watch over you and deepen your peaceful rest tonight.
