So me and ilanabean42 were spamming the crap out of each other as per usual, right? We were discussing about writing styles and how recognizable writing styles are (and the way I’m totally psychic and realized what fic was hers in a heartbeat) and then she had this Idea.

There's a clock on the wall that Shige should be looking at, and a watch on his wrist that he should be checking periodically every six seconds. He should be taking his glasses off and putting them in his shirt pocket, getting up, shuffling his feet out the door. He should be making his way down the hall to tell somebody that something isn't going to work, but instead--

"Tegoshi," Shige sighs, closing his textbook on his finger, "I kind of need to be alone."

From his own book (okay, magazine) and plate of chips Tegoshi looks up and smiles. "But I have nowhere else to go!"

Shige nods like he understands. "Okay, but it would be really nice if you weren't here."
Tegoshi takes his lip under his upper teeth and pulls his eyebrows to the middle, successfully killing every soft-hearted person in five feet. "Do you really need to be alone that much, Shige?"

Well the last time I made out in this room, Shige thinks to himself while staring blankly at the other boy, there was nobody here so I could do alot of--and the couch--but--"Actually yes," Shige says, and finally looks at the clock. "Right about now

"Do you need a tissue?" Tegoshi asks, tilting his head a little. He's still got the wounded puppy look on his face, and Shige wonders if it's ever been brought up that Tegoshi could kill a couple of civilizations just by pretending to cry. "Should I turn down the thermostat?"

Get everyone out of that room before I get there.

Shige bites his own lip (except less sexily) and wipes his nose with the back of his hand.

Unless you like that sort of thing--no? I didn't think so.The secondhand on the clock ticks away as Tegoshi leans forward in his chair towards Shige's area. There's the slight smell of whatever fruity cologne Tegoshi uses, and Shige tries to inch away but he can only whimper, which doesn't exactly portray the message he wants, and Tegoshi cocks an eyebrow and reaches out for Shige's arm
