The fight- imaginary, really. The City is conjuring up fake memories for its own purposes, whatever that is. But the damage is done, and this Edmund believes that he's just gotten yelled at by his obnoxiously bossy older brother, and hates it.

"What do you want?"

"I want you to wait up a moment. What's gotten into you?" he asks, though he is relatively certain he can tell just from the sound of it. Flashbacks or some other manner of trickery have wrought today's conflict, and it seems the City doesn't believe in rests between problems.

"You're not yourself. Come back," he insists, knowing it won't do much good with the state the Just is in.
