Timeline: episode 1x02 -- Birthday Boy

Obviously WAT is not mine, I'm just writing for fun.
Not beated, every error is only mine.
I am walking down the corridor, from the tech room to my office, when something in the bullpen catches my attention. I stop and look at my team through the glass wall. Martin and Samantha stand close near the map of Manhattan displayed in front of them. They look amused. Martin’s shy smile, Sam’s knowing smirk. I know well that light into her eyes. Are they flirting?
I obviously can’t make their words through the thick glass, but I would always recognize Samantha’s behaviour--her coy smile, the brightness in her eyes, that overly open posture... I can't help thinking if she is aware of her game. She has to be. She has always known men's reaction to her.
My eyes switch to our rookie. Martin is attracted to her. No questions here. Two weeks at last and he will ask her out for drinks.
Something primal and deep roars inside me. It’s just a fraction of second and then I’m totally in control again. I turn around and walk to my office. Two thick glass walls.
