I've recently rediscovered my love of Harry Potter fanfiction (reading, not writing) which has resulted in some extremely late nights and equally late mornings. I feel like I'm living 2005/2006 all over again because I've been reading back over some of my old favourites :)
So I've decided to start an entry for all my favourite fanfictions across a couple of different fandoms. I used to have a fanfiction rec's website, but it was hosted on geocities and was lost when they shut down - so this entry shall be my fanfiction rec's, take two!

Set around the loss to Arsenal. Messi's relationship with Villa has a few bumps as he begins to realize another side of it.
Like a Broken Rose by ladyrocketdale : PG-13 : Higuain/Diego
Gonzalo has an issue: he's weak and easily affected by failure. When he cannot deal with that mentally, he does it physically. This happens a lot during the World Cup, and the first person to notice is his roommate. Diego tries to help, and help becomes something more. After the loss against Germany everything falls apart, and Gonzalo doesn't want to be helped anymore.

Beautiful World by Cinnamon : R : Draco/Harry
Draco is afraid of living and Harry is afraid of dying, but sometimes the choice isn't offered. Draco's got to learn what it is to really live, while showing Harry how beautiful the world really is when you're not too scared to see it.
My comments: I love angst. I just love it. This is one of those fanfictions where you just get dragged in.
Irresistible Poison by Rhysenn : PG-13 : Draco/Harry
Under the influence of a love potion, Draco learns that poison doesn't always bring death -- there are other ways to suffer and live. Chemical emotion runs feverish as Harry and Draco discover the intoxication of love.
Underwater Light by Maya : PG-13 : Draco/Harry
Featuring an extremely depressed Harry, in a war-torn wizarding world, about to get the shock of his life when he discovers that Draco Malfoy is slightly more important to him than he would have ever guessed. Including a very odd friendship, lots of angst, suspicions, conflicted loyalties, clueless Ron, on-the-warpath Hermione and two very messed-up boys.
My Comments: This fiction has been taken down by the author, but copies are still laying around cyber space if you're willing to look. I have a copy, if you want it, just shoot me through an email or PM me. I highly recommend it, this is one of the best HD fics out there.
Only the Cold by blue movies : PG : Draco/Hermione
While in Charms class, Vincent Crabbe muses about Draco Malfoy's feelings for Hermione Granger.
My Comments: I love the longing in this fiction and I also love it all being told from Crabbe's POV because it isn't something you see often. Beautiful one shot
The Fallout by everythursday : NC-17 : Draco/Hermione
Hermione learns about growing up through the redemption of Draco Malfoy.
My Comments: I adore this fanfiction. I adored it the first time I read it and I adored it when I revisited it a couple of years later. This is one of those 'stay up till all hours of the night' fictions. But its dirty, gritty, filled with angst and Draco/Hermione are just stunning.
Their Room by aleximoon : PG-13 : Draco/Hermione
This is a Draco/Hermione fic. Basically, they're forced together for a class project and things take off from there. It's awfully long.
My Comments: Such a classic!
We'll Always Have Paris by Melissa D : R : Draco/Hermione
Draco and Hermione go on an exchange program to Beauxbatons Academy. They enter a rocky partnership to help each other make it through all of their classes; neither of them thinks falling in love will be part of the deal.
My Comments: I haven't read this fiction in a couple of years, but I just stumbled back across it and felt this wave of love over come me. This fic is right up there with Their Room as my favourite Draco/Hermione ever!

My Comments: This fiction is so deliciously messed up! I just love the relationship, its so... messy and angsty and beautiful.

Dr. Jewnicorn, or how Jesse learned to stop worrying and love his costar.
My Comments: I stumbled across this fanfiction really randomly after searching through the tags for 'fanmix' on tumblr. This story is just beautiful, amazingly written and so incredibly realistic.
